Data Management

At TrackMySupplement, our mission is to help you along your wellness, dietary, nutrition, or fitness journey and we want you to have control over your Personal Data that you provide to us over the course of that journey.

This Data Management page will give you information on how we share data and your rights to opt-out of certain data sharing practices.

Step-by-step OPT-OUT instructions are listed below. You may also visit our Privacy Policy for additional information related to your privacy.

But First, Some Context About the Companies We Work With

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) requires a business to tell its California consumers how it shares their data, if their data is “sold,” and provide ways for users to opt-out of (or “turn off”) the sale of their data. “Sold” and “sale” in this case doesn’t mean providing data in exchange for money- we don’t do that. “Sold” instead means passing data, including technical device data, to another company that might use that data for its own purposes, such as for advertising.

Our Service Providers

We may collect your Personal Data when you engage with the TrackMySupplement service (website) and the associated online communities. This includes when you click on advertisements, interact with our social media pages, submit content, leave reviews, or otherwise enter information into comment fields, blogs, message boards, events, and other community forums affiliated with TrackMySupplement.

Companies That Use Data At Least Partially For Their Own Purposes

When we share data with companies that use data at least partially for their own purposes (for example, for certain targeted advertising) it is considered a “sale” of information under the CCPA. This occurs primarily with companies involved in online advertising and related services.

The What:

Opting Out of Personalized and Targeted Advertising

We display advertising on TrackMySupplement. In order to make relevant advertising and marketing content appear, some information is passed beyond our service providers to third parties.

Here’s how it works: When you visit our website, we detect some information about you, your device, and your usage of our services. We send out a signal to our ad-serving partners containing this data. Those contracted service providers then share and match that signal up with third parties and companies who would like to reach consumers and users like you. This all happens in the time it takes to load a web page or open the mobile app.
